The Grapehound Wine Tour® - New York July 25-28, 2013 We are excited again to be back at Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards for our Welcome event. The wines are superb and the surroundings most comfortable, with plenty of shade trees, grass and picnic tables. And the Tiki bar is a big plus too! Atwater Estate Vineyards is again our main event this summer. The views from Atwater are spectacular, the wines delicious. The views from Atwater Estate Vineyards out over Seneca Lake are spectacular. Vending should start about noon Friday (7/26)and the music will go into the evening. There will still be lots of time to shop and listen to some great music. One thing new for 2013 is that we hope to have a check in/registration location set up each day for a couple hours as early as Tuesday so that folks can visit their favorite wineries earlier in the week with their tickets and wine glasses in hand. We hope to offer wine tasting seminars at various wineries throughout the weekend. I know that Kings Garden will likely offer a vertical tasting of their five Chardonnays during the weekend. We are working with other wineries to offer a seminar in their specialty too. If there are topics you'd like to learn about, let us know! We may have some new wineries as well, though we have twenty now and it's hard to get to all of them in a couple days! And that's not counting Finger Lakes Distilling, where they love their greyhound visitors! |
