This weekend event, like all our wine and food pairing events, is a great opportunity for people to experience a vast diversity of food/wine combinations. Wine is rarely consumed alone, and what specific food you eat with a given wine greatly impacts the tastiness of each. So this weekend is a terrific chance for you to sample an incredible variety of combinations and, when you find a wine/food pair that really lights up your palate, you can buy a few bottles of the wine for later, buy the locally made cheese used in that recipe, then prepare the food at home using the recipe book, and introduce your friends and family to that particularly delightful combination.

Tickets do not include lodging or transportation. Limited weekend packages with lodging and transportation included are described below. Ticket orders will be securely processed by our partner site Eventbrite. They will email you an e-ticket which must in turn be redeemed for your actual event ticket(s) at your starting winery. You therefore must start at your starting winery, because until you visit your chosen starting winery, you will not have your actual tickets. The document emailed to you by Eventbrite does not qualify as your ticket and wineries will require that you have your actual cardstock ticket before you can begin enjoying this event. Furthermore, because of this, it is even more important that groups of attendees purchase their tickets on one order, to guarantee that all attendees will have the exact same starting winery. Lastly, bundles of tickets can only be picked up by the person who purchased them. If you have any questions about our e-ticketing system, please call the office during regular business hours at 877-536-2717. Tickets purchased are not refundable, exchangeable or changeable and the winery you chose to start at when purchasing your tickets cannot be altered. Seneca Lake Wine Trail events are never cancelled. Sometimes our events sell out, so you should purchase your tickets well in advance of the event itself. For those events that do not sell out, we stop selling tickets in advance by 1:00 p.m. EST the Wednesday before the event weekend. After that tickets will be available to purchase at a few designated wineries, with an additional charge of $5 per ticket. Large groups of 24 or more people are limited to 4 per day. They are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact Glenda Stermer-Simpson toll-free 877-536-2717 for availability and rules. There is a trail-wide special event policy for ticket holders attending these weekend events that as long as you travel in a group of 23 or less people, you will not need to make an appointment at the participating wineries. Each attendee will enjoy a complimentary sample of the dish served by the winery, paired with a sample of wine intended to complement that dish best. With so many wineries participating in our events, attendees oftentimes visit many wineries in a day, therefore entire flights of wine samples are not served by each winery during the event. |

Our weekend packages include at least tickets, lodging and transportation for two, click here for more information. Gift Item
Each ticketed attendee will receive a handmade cheese cutting board, made from wood harvested from the Finger Lakes Region! Between the local wine, regional cheese and local gift item, you almost literally can't find an event more committed to the "buy local" meme! These fine cutting boards were hand crafted by Fish Woodworks, a small, local business in the Finger Lakes Region. The "A" on the map roughly illustrates where the trees that make the cutting boards were harvested. Caring for your cheese boards is simple. Start with a light sanding using 150-220 grit sandpaper. Then finish with mineral oil available at your local drug store. Mineral oil is food safe and does not decompose.
Creameries On Location
With our partnership with the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail, many of their member creameries will be on location serving samples of their award winning cheeses during various times throughout the weekend event. The following information is accurate as of 4/17/13, and is subject to change. While we will do our best to keep this information current, if it is vital that a given creamery is present at a given winery when you plan on visiting, please call that winery directly to confirm:

Testimonials
Of course we, the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, believes this is a terrific event... But don't take just our word for it! Below are some testimonials from past attendees of this annual event:
"One of our favorite memories was the cheese and wine tour in 2000 and Mr Wagner of Wagner Vineyard was scooping out a 96' Merlot out of the barrel. Even though it was a young wine it was very good and Mr. Wagner was very enthusiatic. "
- Mary
"My favorite memory was my first visit to Seneca Lake for Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend about 6 yrs ago. I made my first visit Hazlitt's winery and everyone was singing the Red Cat song and doing jello shots. It was so much fun that I have attended every Wine and Cheese weekend since."
- Cheryl
