As of December 7 at 7:20AM, the roads in Watkins Glen and most likely around the whole lake are very clear, with only a light sprinkling of snow on the ground, as seen in the picture taken at the base of Seneca Lake just this morning. Another crisp, beautiful Deck the Halls Weekend!

Certificate of Excellence, 2013 Winner, Tripadvisor
It is admittedly flattering for the Seneca Lake Wine Trail itself to win this award, but is truly more of a positive reflection on our excellent members and their enduring commitment to make great wines, and provide the best experience for our visitors. So thank you to our hard-working member wineries, and to our many shared customers who took the time to give us a positive review! http://tinyurl.com/trailtripadvisor
We realize your main reason for visiting our site is most likely to find information about our member wineries, but also know that most visitors to our region will be seeking other businesses like restaurants, lodging, transportation providers, breweries/distilleries/cideries, and other attractions. You can patronize any of these regional businesses confident that they are doing their utmost to help you have a fun, safe and enjoyable time in the Finger Lakes Region. To view a handy map that shows all of those businesses and our member wineries at once, click here.
Deck The Halls Weekend
Two separate weekends, November 22-24 or December 6-8, 2013 - Go to your assigned starting winery and begin a weekend of fun and festivities while sampling holiday wines and food tastings. The wineries are decorated for the holiday season. Over the two day weekend event, visit the participating wineries, receive a recipe book and collect ornaments at each participating winery to decorate your handmade grapevine wreath. These events are both co-sponsored by The Christmas House, located in nearby Elmira, NY.Click here for more information about this event and click here to purchase tickets. This event has sold out every year for at least the past decade, so if you plan on attending, don't wait too long before purchasing your tickets. Large Group Tours
We are frequently asked about setting up a tour of our member wineries by large groups. Each winery has its own individual policies. Some wineries require appointments for groups of 8 or more people, others don't require an appointment unless the group exceeds 16 people, for example. In some instances tasting fees are the same between a large group and an individual, in other cases they are different. Please click here for more information on bringing a large group to the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, and feel free to call our office during regular business hours with any additional questions.
